Meet Ethan Klein

Houston Psychotherapist

Ethan Klein, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist who has been actively in practice since 2006. In 1995, he began his career, and first clinical experience, working in Mesa, Arizona at an inpatient group home for teens and young adults with severe mental illness. When Ethan moved back to Houston, he worked as a teacher at the Harris School (at the time, part of the Houston/Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute), which focuses on kids with emotional issues. During his six-year tenure, Ethan gained experience in child development and worked with kids on the PDD spectrum, ADD/ADHD, separation anxiety, attachment issues, anxiety, and depression.

In 2005, Ethan began pursuing his Masters in Social Work at the University of Houston. During his first year, he interned at the Baylor Adolescent/Sports Medicine Clinic, where he ran process groups for teens. His second internship came the following year at Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. The latter experience gave Ethan insight to working with adults, family systems, and couples therapy.

Upon graduation, Ethan began working for a non-profit organization as a psychotherapist conducting therapy with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. After four years, he got promoted to Clinical Coordinator for Therapeutic Services before going into private practice.

Currently, Ethan’s clientele includes adults, competitive athletes of all sports (both professional and non professional), couples, families, adolescents, and children. He practices compassion, empathy, and kindness during his sessions and offers a non-judgmental, authentic environment in order to maintain a positive experience during the therapeutic process.
